Reb Gil – in a nutshell, what’s the City of Moonlight book about? Amazon has no reviews or summary as far as I can see.

A collection of Chassidic-style stories, in the elegant style of classic Yiddish story-tellers, but that argue against Chassidic ideas — e.g. a “dibbuk” that is resolved by a rav ruling that the person had become unstable because the town had mistreated him, a pious elderly agunah declaring that you aren’t born a tzadik but become one.
